What do you do?

We bake and sell fresh baked cookies.

What inspired you to start your business?

I needed healing from the loss of my baby brother and also to create generational wealth for my family.

What's special about your business?

Baking has become therapeutic for me and has allowed me to channel bad and lonely feelings into something that makes me happy.

What have been the high and low points of being a business owner?

The high points of my business have been customers who really love cookies.  Receiving their feedback on how delicious the cookies are, how happy they made them feel to receive them, the presentation, and the customer service we provide.  The low points is just not having enough capital to expand and to reach the masses that are awaiting my product.

What influenced you to seek help from SCORE?

Being a first-time business owner, I was sure they could help me and give me valuable advice.

What's great about my mentor?

I have only worked with my mentor for a short period of time, however, he shows genuine interest in helping me be successful.

What advice would you give to someone thinking of starting a small business?

If it's your passion, move forward.
